One of the many significant milestones in the launch of the New Top Level Domain Program has been completed. As we mentioned in an earlier post, the Prioritization Draw gives us the first indication of when a New Top Level Domain may be available. With more than 1,900 different applications submitted, a number was assigned to each application that will determine the order in which it will be evaluated and when the New TLD will ultimately be available for registration.

Below are the results for the top 50 New TLDs* where the applications will be reviewed first. You can see the full results of the draw here. ICANN will now continue evaluating the applications, release the results of the evaluations in order of the Draw numbers and continue through the remaining milestones.

*All IDN TLDs will have the first opportunity to go live in Q2 of 2013, and the first generic New TLD could go live as early as June 2013!
